At the start of the 2013-2014 academic year of Prelacy Schools, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, has been visiting schools to convey his blessings and well wishes to the administration, students, and parents for a successful year.
On Friday, August 23rd, 2013, the Prelate visited the young students of Levon and Hasmig Tavlian Pre-School in Pasadena, where he conducted a prayer service and the blessing of salt and water to begin the new school year. He was accompanied by Parish Pastor of St. Sarkis Church Rev. Fr. Boghos Baltayan, and former Parish Pastor Rev. Fr. Khoren Babochian. St. Sarkis Church Board of Trustees members were also in attendance.
After the prayer service in the courtyard, the Prelate and Pastors visited classrooms where they were greeted enthusiastically by the students. The Prelate and Pastors had a warm and pleasant interaction with the students, who sang songs and presented them with drawings. The Prelate blessed the students and presented them with copies of the Lord’s Prayer.
