H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, called to action a new scholarship for Armenian Studies students, in memory of our community benefactors, the late Gagik and Knarig Galstian. The Scholarship fund is currently supported by the late couple’s daughters; Seta Galstian-Aghayan and Aida Galstian-Norhadian.
This scholarship is available to all Armenian students locally and in the Diaspora who are enrolled in Armenian Studies programs and attend a higher education establishment or university, and/or conduct research in Armenian studies, such as; Hye Tahd, Armenian genocide or related fields. The first allocations of the Scholarship will be granted for the 2022-2023 academic year.
Application package must Include:
A. A letter containing applicant’s brief biography, description of their work in social life, mailing and e-mail addresses and phone number. Attached also must be a photo of applicant.
B. On a separate page, the name of the applicant’s educational history, including name of their educational institution, or university. Also indicating how many years he/she has been studying? When is the expected graduation? What language does he/she study in?”
C. Applicant’s student ID from the listed educational institution or university, and transcript of grades.
D. Letter of recommendation from a professional or expert.
Completed applications must be turned in to the Western Prelacy by June 30, 2022. Applications can be e-mailed or mailed to the following addresses.
