Each year, the Committee for Armenian Students in Public Schools (CASPS), which operates under the auspices of the Western Prelacy, organizes an art contest for high school students ages 14 to 18 from Glendale and Los Angeles Unified School Districts. This year’s theme was to portray a story or event from childhood. The artwork, including paintings and sculptures, are judged by professional community artists, following which the students, their families, teachers, community leaders, district administrators and officials are invited to an awards ceremony.
This year’s ceremony was held on the evening of Thursday, December 8, at the Glendale Unified School District offices. Congratulatory remarks were delivered by CASPS Executive Director Arsineh Hovannisian and GUSD officials.
