On Wednesday, July 29, 2015, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, welcomed a visit from Assyrian Church representatives, headed by Cor-Bishop Rev. George Bet Rasho, Parish Priest of St. Mary’s Assyrian Church in Tarzana. Very Rev. Fr. Boghos Tinkjian joined in the visit.
The guests had come to personally invite the Prelate to a special ecumenical service organized by the Assyrian Genocide Centennial Committee of Los Angeles in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Genocide against the Assyrians, Armenians, and Greeks. His Eminence was also invited to speak at the event, which will take place on August 4.
The Prelate thanked them for their visit and for the invitation to take part in commemorating the legacy of our martyrs. A cordial conversation ensued and the visit came to a close with an exchange of mementos.
