On Sunday, August 7, 2022, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, presided over the Divine Liturgy at St. Garabed Mother Church in Hollywood, during which he delivered the sermon and blessed the water and images with the newly consecrated Holy Muron. Archpriest Fr. Viken Vassilian celebrated the Divine Liturgy.
The Prelate noted that he blessed the water and images by using the newly consecrated Holy Muron, which was conducted by H.H. Aram I., Catholicos of the Holy See of Cilicia, and encouraged the faithful to take the blessed water to their homes, wishing that whoever drinks from it will receive healing of the soul, mind and body. The Prelate stated, “May the Lord grant His grace to everyone according to their good deeds, and let the love increase in everyone, so that when people look into each other’s eyes, they may see the presence of Jesus Christ.”
Bishop Donoyan’s message was based on the importance of Faith, Hope and Love. He emphasized that when faith increases in a person’s life, a person becomes more conscious, enlightened and complete. Referring to Hope, he mentioned that hope is life, and when we put our hope in God, our strength increases and we become stronger. Emphasizing the necessity of love in a person’s life, especially towards God, he stated that the more love people show, the more they will receive from above.
Concluding his message, the Prelate prayed for the protection and strengthening of Armenia, Artsakh and all Armenian’s.
