On Saturday, October 6, 2018, the annual Professional Development Day organized by the Board of Regents of Prelacy Schools was held at “Avedissian” Hall in Encino with the participation of 400 educators from local Armenian Schools.
H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, delivered the invocation and his message. He was accompanied by H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Vicar General.
The Prelate greeted and commended the educators who day in and day out work with heart and soul to educate, enlighten, and enrich not just the minds, but the hearts and souls of our youth as well as instill love and reverence for our faith and heritage in the lives of our youth. Noting that teachers are one of the most valuable facets of society who have a profound and lasting influence in the life of a child, His Eminence blessed all of our educators who faithfully and diligently carry out their noble calling.
Speaking on the importance of continuing education for all professionals and especially for teachers, the Prelate commended the Board of Regents for providing this valuable forum each year where our educators can refine their skills, enhance their abilities, share their knowledge and experiences with one another, and encourage one another to be the best that they can be.
He concluded by wishing for the day’s workshops to be greatly beneficial and enlightening for all and to inspire the teachers to new heights in their noble mission.
