As previously reported, from April 11 -15, 2016, His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Holy See of Cilicia, visited Armenia and Artsakh, where together with His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, the two Pontiffs offered prayers and expressed solidarity to the country’s leaders, soldiers, and citizens following the most recent attacks by Azerbaijan. At the conclusion of their visit, the Catholicoi announced donations in the amount of 0,000 each on behalf of their respective Holy Sees to assist the government in responding to the urgent needs of the people.

By the directive of His Holiness Aram I, on behalf of the Religious and Executive Councils we hereby call on our community members to fulfill their patriotic duty by lending a generous helping hand to our brothers and sisters in Artsakh in a show of solidarity and brotherhood. As a nation we have always come together to offer our support to our brethren in need, whether in Armenia, Syria, or elsewhere. Now is the time to take collective action in support of Artsakh.
Our brave soldiers are at the front lines fearlessly and selflessly risking life and limb for the defense of our lands. Let us do our part for a secure and prosperous Artsakh. Donations can be made directly to the Western Prelacy or through local churches. (Please make checks payable to Western Prelacy and write “Artsakh Support Fund” on the memo line).
May God grant rest to the souls of our martyrs and victims and bring comfort to their families, and may He safeguard and keep in peace the leadership, soldiers, and citizens of Artsakh.
