On Wednesday, June 3, 2020, the Committee for Armenian Students in Public Schools (CASPS) hosted its 24th annual reception honoring Armenian students graduating from the Glendale Unified School District. In light of ongoing restrictions due to the Coronavirus pandemic, this year’s reception was held virtually.
The program began with welcoming remarks by CASPS Executive Director Arsineh Hovannisian. H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, conveyed his blessings and congratulations to the graduates. The keynote address was delivered by television personality Araksya Karapetyan. Remarks were conveyed by GUSD Superintendent Dr. Vivian Ekchian and GUSD Board President Dr. Armina Gharpetian. The presentation of awards and certificates followed. The program also included piano and dance performances by students. The reception closed with congratulatory remarks by CASPS Board members.
