On Sunday, June 24, 2018, a community-wide celebration of the centennial of the first Republic of Armenia was held at Pasadena City College “Sexson Auditorium” under the auspices of the Western Prelacy, Western Diocese, Catholic Eparchy, Armenian Evangelical Union of North America, Social Democrat Hunchakian Party, Armenian Revolutionary Federation, and Armenian Democratic Liberal Party.

G. Bishop Mikayel Mouradian, Eparch, and Rev. Berdj Djambazian, the Prelate delivered a message on the establishment and timeless message of the first Republic.
Remarks were delivered by Lena Manoukian on behalf of the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party, Razmig Haroun on behalf of the ARF, and Hratch Sepetjian on behalf of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party message, highlighting the legacy of the first Republic in our modern history and the unity of the Armenian people which was reflected in the evening’s celebration.
The evening also featured a video presentation, dance performances by the “Zvartnots” Dance Ensemble and Hamazkayin “Ani” Dance Company, and musical performances by singers Harut Hakobyan, Salbi Mailyan, and Gagik Badalyan.
The celebration concluded with the closing prayer and the collective singing of “Sardarabad.”
