On Thursday, October 13, 2022, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, welcomed Dr. Avedis Dakessian, Chairman of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party – RAG in Lebanon and Mr. Joseph Ganimian. The main topic of the meeting was focused on the Lebanese Armenians. Information about the current situation was exchanged and urgent spiritual, national, cultural and social issues affecting the community were discussed.
In his remarks, Dr. Dakessian thanked the Prelate, calling the visit useful and purposeful, especially in terms of meeting the human, educational and moral needs of the Armenians of Lebanon.
Bishop Donoyan concluded the visit with a note of optimism, at the same time expressing hope that the country and the people will manage to get out of the current crisis, and favourable living conditions will be created for the Lebanese Armenians.
