On Wednesday, May 12, 2021, a comprehensive Religious Council meeting was convened at the Western Prelacy from 10am until 6pm. The meeting was presided over by H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, and participated by the entire Religious Council. Also in attendance were; Very Rev. Fr. Ashod Khatchadourian, Pastor of Holy Trinity Church in Fresno, and Rev. Fr. Artsakh Badoyan, Pastor of St. Garabed Church in Las Vegas.
Prior to the commencement of the Religious Council meeting, the clergy gathered in the “St. Dertad and St. Ashkhen” chapel and performed a short church service. Following the service, the meeting began, where during the first session various topics were discussed, such as; Clergy activities, Deaconate activities, Sunday school initiatives and Bible Studies. During the second session, matters relating to the Western Prelacy periodical, Prelacy programs, publications and media were discussed.
Following a short break, the Religious Council in its third session discussed matters relating to church rituals, and in the fourth and last session of the meeting, a general working evaluation was made.
At the conclusion of the Religious Council meeting, a Joint Assembly meeting took place.
