Divine Liturgy and Blessing of Grapes in Prelacy Churches on the Feast of the Assumption of the Holy Mother of God

On Sunday, August 16, 2020, the Armenian Apostolic Church will celebrate the feast of the Assumption of the Holy Mother of God, which is also the name day of St. Mary’s Church of Glendale.

On this occasion, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, will celebrate Divine Liturgy and conduct the blessing of madagh and grapes at St. Mary’s Church.

H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Vicar General, will celebrate Divine Liturgy and conduct the blessing of grapes at Holy Martyrs Church in Encino.

As you know, heeding official guidelines, our Churches remain closed to the public in order to curb the spread of the Coronavirus. On the feast of the Assumption, a number of our Churches will conduct Divine Liturgy and/or the blessing of grapes outdoors, observing social distancing guidelines, in order to allow our faithful the opportunity to participate in this special service.

Please contact your local parish for more information.
