On Tuesday, February 26 and Thursday, February 28, 2019 respectively, the Armenian nation will commemorate the feasts of Sts. Ghevontians and Sts. Vartanants, honoring the martyrdom and legacy of our national heroes who sacrificed their lives in defense of our faith and nation.
On Tuesday, February 26, at 10:30 a.m., Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in honor of Sts. Ghevontiants at St. Mary’s Church in Glendale presided by H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, and with the participation of clergy members. Rev. Fr. Ghevont Kirazian, Parish Pastor of the Crescent Valley Church will celebrate Divine Liturgy and deliver the sermon. The annual Ghevontiants clergy conference will follow.
On Thursday, February 28, at 7:00 p.m., Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in honor of Sts. Vartnants at Holy Martyrs Church in Encino, also presided by the Prelate and with the participation of Prelacy clergy. Rev. Fr. Arsen Kassabian, Parish Pastor of the North Hollywood Church, will celebrate Divine Liturgy and deliver the service.
Both services will feature beloved patriotic songs dedicated to our heroes.
