Easter Celebration at Ararat Home

On Thursday, April 25, 2019, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, and clergy members visited Ararat Home in Mission Hills to convey their Easter blessings to the residents, administration, and faculty.

The visit began at the Nursing Facility. The Prelate greeted all with the good tidings of Christ’s Resurrection, wishing for the message of the Resurrection to brighten the spirits of all, and conveyed his Easter greetings and well wishes to all for health and happiness. The service began with the singing of Easter hymns and Gospel reading, after which the blessing of the home service was conducted. In keeping with tradition, resident Bedros Seferian read a letter conveying his Easter well wishes to the Prelate and clergy and requesting their prayers. Words of appreciation were also expressed by Ararat Home COO Derik Ghoogasian and Skilled Nursing Facility Executive Director Margarita Kechichian. At the conclusion of the service, residents received Holy Communion and a prayer book.

Next, Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Chapel. Rev. Fr. Ardak Demirjian celebrated Divine Liturgy and delivered the sermon emphasizing the presence of the Risen Christ in our lives.

A luncheon hosted by the Board and administration followed.
