On Sunday, July 11, 2021, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, celebrated Divine Liturgy at St. Sarkis Armenian Church in Pasadena, on the occasion of the Feast of the Transfiguration of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Prelate first greeted the parish of St. Sarkis Armenian Church and then beseeched the Lord for divine blessings upon every Armenian Christian and to renew them with heavenly values and to strengthen the Armenian family.
Speaking about the Feast of the Transfiguration, the Prelate invited those present to be willing to become transfigured with the Lord, for God’s glory. Especially throughout their lives, on various occasions when the feeling of fullness is felt and the soul is favored above the body.
“When we are removed from the world, then Heaven comes to us, when we prefer the Kingdom of God to the kingdoms of the earth, then we become different. I invite you, dear faithful, that at various stages of life, by the example of Christ, we should have close friends, family members, friends, relatives, in other words, people of faith and be transformed with them, especially by their presence; in order to draw closer to God for ourselves, our families and our surroundings.”
