On Wednesday, February 14, the Armenian Apostolic Church will observe the Feast of the Presentation of our Lord to the Temple. The Feast will be celebrated in Prelacy Churches on Tuesday, February 13 with a special service and the lighting of the traditional bonfire. New parents especially are invited to attend and have their children blessed.

In keeping with tradition, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, will preside over the service at St. Mary’s Church in Glendale. As always, the Homenetmen leadership, members, and scouts will participate in the service, which begins at 6:30 pm.

Afterward, clergy and faithful will gather in the church courtyard for the lighting of the bonfire and the singing of patriotic and national songs.

Later on, the Prelate, clergy, and Homenetmen members will gather at “Armenak Der Bedrossian” Hall for the annual dinner reception hosted by the parish Board of Trustees.

On Wednesday morning, the Feast of the Presentation of our Lord to the Temple will be commemorated in all Prelacy Churches with morning service, which will be followed by the first Sunrise service of the Lenten season.
