On Friday, October 13, 2017, evening service in celebration of the Feast of the Holy Translators was held at St. Mary’s Church in Glendale, presided by H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, and with the participation of Prelacy Clergy. Rev. Fr. Movses Shannakian delivered the sermon.
Fr. Movses highlighted the tremendous contributions of the Holy Translators in the enrichment of our religious and cultural heritage, stating that they dedicated their lives to enriching and enlightening our national life. They toiled with faith and awareness to ensure the endurance of our people. With the founding of the Armenian alphabet and subsequent endeavors, they allowed us to read God’s Word in our own language, and forged our national identity.
