Members of Homenetmen Regional Executive, ARF “Lernavayr” Gomideh, and representatives of sister organizations were among the guests in attendance.

The Prelate delivered the invocation and conveyed his congratulatory message lauding the “Azadamard” Chapter’s ardent and spirited four-decade long service within the Armenian community of Pasadena. He noted that the 40th anniversary of the local “Lernavayr” Gomideh was also celebrated recently, and that these jubilant occasions are taking place on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the first Republic of Armenia as well as the centennial of Homenetmen. His Eminence praised Homenetmen’s mission of morally instructing our youth by planting in their souls our religious and national heritage and values. He commended the dedicated members of Homenetmen’s numerous chapters who carry out the organization’s century-old mission, included those of the “Azadamard” Chapter for their contributions to the Pasadena community, and wished continued successes to all.

Remarks were delivered by “Azadamard” Chapter Chair Ms. Anita Berberian, and on behalf of the Regional Executive by Mr. Pierre Manoukian. A video chronicling the chapter’s history was shown, and it was revealed that the chapter aspires to expand its current location and add a gym for the community’s youth.

Five members of the founding generation, who continue to serve to the present day, were honored for their devoted service, as were the day’s sponsors.
