His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, members of the Brotherhood, and the Great House of Cilicia extended family mourns the loss of senior Brotherhood member, H.E. Archbishop Ardavazt Terterian, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 18, 2013.
Archbishop Ardavazt will be remembered as an exemplary clergymen, a faithful and humble servant who devotedly served the Holy See of Cilicia for over sixty years. He had served as Dean of the Seminary, Catholicossal General Vicar, and Locum Tenens. As a scholar and distinguished educator, the late Archbishop instructed and prepared countless Brotherhood members and community servants at the Seminary of the Holy See of Cilicia.
Extreme Unction will take place on Saturday, July 20 during Divine Liturgy presided by His Holiness Catholicos Aram I at St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral in Antelias. Internment will follow at the Mausoleum of the Holy See of Cilicia.
H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, sent a letter of condolence to His Holiness on behalf of the Prelacy councils and faithful.
By the ordinance of the Prelate, on Sunday, July 21st requiem prayers will be offered for the soul of Archbishop Ardavazt Terterian. His Eminence will preside over the service at Holy Cross Cathedral in Montebello.
