Illuminator’s Cathedral in New York for 28 years until his retirement, at which time he continued to serve the Eastern Prelacy as an Outreach priest. He previously served as Pastor of St. Hagop Church in Racine, Wisconsin, and Holy Trinity Church in Worcester, Massachusetts.
On behalf of the Western Prelacy family, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, sent a letter of condolence to H.E. Archbishop Anoushavan Tanielian, Prelate of the Eastern United States, Clergy, Religious and Executive Councils, Yeretzgin Vartoughi, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, and extended family members, praying for the Lord to rest Fr. Moushegh’s soul in His luminous heavenly altar.

Moushegh since childhood as a family friend, eulogized him as “a devoted and selfless servant who dedicated his life in service to the Armenian Church, earning the love and respect of his flock and of all; a bold pastor, watchful guard of his flock, fervent clergyman, and ardent defender of our religious rituals and traditions who after decades of fruitful service always remained ready to serve, even in retirement.”
Extreme Unction was conducted during funeral mass at St. Illuminator’s Cathedral on Wednesday, May 29, followed by interment at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Flushing, New York.
