On Sunday, September 18, 2022, the spiritual leaders of the Western United States held a joint prayer for the souls of the martyred soldiers in Armenia, at St. Leon’s Cathedral in Burbank. H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, celebrated Divine Liturgy and conducted a special prayer for Armenia on the occasion of the Independence of Armenia, with H.E. Archbishop Hovnan Derderian. In attendance were Archbishops, clergy, representatives of Armenia Fund, community organizations and the faithful.
The faithful in attendance heard the invigorating messages of H.H. Karekin II., Patriarch of all Armenians and H.H. Aram I., Catholicos of the Holy See of Cilicia,which were read by Archbishop Derderian and Bishop Donoyan. Both leaders – having one heart with their flock – beseeched Gods intervention, for the salvation of our lands and the Armenian nation, and for the establishment of peace in the region.
