Heroes are remembered and legends never die.” He regarded the honoree a man of faith and grace, nourished by the spirit of Gomidas, worthily received many honors during his illustrious career, not only a “national hero” but an immortal legend. His Eminence prayed for the Lord to bless Prof. Tchekidjian with more years to continue creating and contributing to our heritage, and gifted him a book on Armenian schools in Istanbul which features the Mekhitarian School that the honoree attended.
