By the invitation of the Dean, Pastor, Board of Trustees, and Ladies Guild of Holy Cross Cathedral on Montebello, on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, presided over Mid-Lent festivities at the Cathedral.
The day began with Sunrise Service, with the participation of Very Rev. Fr. Muron Aznikian, Dean, and Rev. Fr. Ashod Kambourian, Pastor, and with the attendance of Mesrobian School Principal Mr. David Ghoogasian, teachers, students, and faithful. His Eminence spoke of the journey of Lent as a time of reflection and contemplation and of mid-Lent as a time to evaluate how far we have come on that journey of spiritual renewal. In conclusion, the Prelate urged all to take this time of Lent to improve ourselves by communicating with God through prayer, showing love to God and to our fellow man, and goodwill in our service to our community.
The luncheon followed at “Bagramian” Hall. Mrs. Kohar Sulahian, long-time member and sponsor of the Prelacy and Holy Cross Cathedral, was the host of this year’s luncheon.
