Naming Ceremony of Artsakh Avenue in Glendale

On Tuesday, October 2, 2018, a two-block portion of Maryland Avenue, between Harvard Street and Wilson Avenue, was renamed Artsakh Avenue during a ceremony hosted by the City of Glendale. The City Council had voted for the renaming earlier this year.

On behalf of H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, Archpriest Fr. Vazken Atmajian attended and delivered the invocation. Remarks were delivered by Mayor Zareh Sinanyan, California State Senator Anthony Portantino, Permanent Representative of Artsakh to the U.S. Robert Avetisyan, and City Council members. The unveiling of the street sign followed.
