On Sunday, June 30, 2019, the 44th Navasartian Games Victory Ball was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, attended and delivered the invocation. This year’s Honorary President was Prelacy Executive Council Chair Mr. and Mrs. Garo and Sosse Eshgian. Consul General of Armenia, Dr. Armen Baibourtian and his wife were among the guests in attendance. Alongside His Eminence were H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Vicar General, Archpriest Fr. Vazken Atmajian and Archpriest Fr. Razmig Khatchadourian. Central Executive Council members Vahe Yacoubian and Gaidzag Zetlian, the Executive Council, and representatives of community organizations.
In his invocation, the Prelate saluted and commended the Homenetmen family, members of the Central and Regional Executives, Scouting Council, and local chapters who work together in the spirit of love and brotherhood for the wellbeing of our youth and the preservation of our heritage. He prayed for the Lord to bless the devoted members of Homenetmen with many more healthy years to carry on the organization’s worthy mission and to bless and protect the young scouts and athletes as they become our future leaders. His Eminence commended this year’s Honorary President, Mr. and Mrs. Eshgian, and Exemplary Homenetmen member Vartkes Shekherdemian for their decades-long dedicated service and valuable contributions to our national life, as well as the past presidents exemplary members, sponsors, donors, and friends. His Eminence concluded his remarks beseeching the Lord to strengthen the youth, fill them with knowledge and strength in order to continue their journeys in faith and sacrifice.
The evening’s Master of Ceremonies was Charlie Ghailian. Remarks were delivered by Homenetmen Western Region Chair Hagop Tufenkjian, Vartkes Shekherdemian, and Garo Eshgian, who praised the efforts of Homenetmen, renewed his vow of service and wished upon them new achievements.
