On Sunday, October 28, 2018, Mr. Haykak Arshamyan, newly appointed Executive Director of Hayastan All Armenian Fund, paid an official visit to the Prelacy where he met with H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, and members of the Religious and Executive Councils and Ladies Auxiliary. Mr. Arshamyan was accompanied by Armenia Fund Executive Director Mr. Sarkis Kotanjian, while the Prelate was joined by H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Vicar General, Archpriest Fr. Vazken Atmajian, Rev. Fr. Ghevont Kirazian, Executive Council Chair Mr. Garo Eshgian, members Mrs. Elizabeth Boyajian, Mr. Avo Kechichian, and Mr. Rafi Kuyumjian, as well as members of the Ladies Auxiliary.
Following introductions, the Prelate congratulated Mr. Arshamyan and reaffirmed the support of the Prelacy, parishes, schools, and sponsors to Armenia Fund’s mission while hoping that Armenia Fund will continue its mission with transparency.
On behalf of the Executive Council, Mr. Eshgian welcomed Mr. Arshamyan and expressed confidence that Armenia Fund will boldly continue its mission.
Mr. Kotanjian presented the new Executive Director’s experience and credentials, after which Mr. Arshamyan expressed thanks for the warm welcome and conveyed his thoughts. Mr. Arshamyan first stated that he has studied the history and role of the Armenian kingdom of Cilicia and of the Catholicosate of Sis as a historian, and accordingly spoke highly about the Diaspora’s important role in the success of all projects relating to our fatherland. He spoke on Armenia Fund’s past, present, and future projects, and stressed the importance of offering the youth more resources to become skilled and excel in technology with the aim of advancing our nation.
The Prelate wished Mr. Arshamyan all the best in his new duties and success to Armenia Fund’s future projects, expressing confidence that the organization will move forward with renewed drive and energy with his appointment. The meeting concluded with the presentation of mementos.
