On Tuesday, September 11, 2018, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, welcomed the visit of representatives from the “Friends of New Julfa” Committee. His Eminence was joined by Archpriest Fr. Nareg Pehlivanian. The Committee has been serving under the auspices of the Prelacy for over a decade, with a mission of preserving and celebrating the rich and ancient traditions of the New Julfa region and supporting the Armenian Prelacy of Isfahan.
The Prelate greeted the representatives and commended their devoted service. The guests thanked His Eminence for his and the Executive Council’s care and support, and provided information on the Committee’s current and future endeavors, noting that the organization has officially been registered as a nonprofit under the name “New Julfa Zartonk Society.”
The Prelate once again commended the members, reaffirmed the Prelacy’s support and care, and wished continued success in all endeavors.
