On Saturday, February 28, 2015, the Armenian Apostolic Church of North Hollywood celebrated the sixth anniversary of its establishment with a banquet held at “Signature” Banquet Hall in Granada Hills. H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, presided over the celebration. Executive Council Chair Mr. Vahe Hovaguimian was among the over 300 guests in attendance.
The official program commenced with the Armenian national anthem sung by Mrs. Sossy Mardirossian. Master of Ceremonies Mr. Baghdig Ekmekjian welcomed and thanked the Prelate and guests, and then invited Parish Pastor Archpriest Fr. Nareg Pehlivanian to bless the tables and deliver his remarks.
Fr. Nareg first expressed gratitude to the Prelate for joining the parish community in their celebration and for his care and guidance.

Fr. Nareg noted that the Board of Trustees works diligently so that the parish can have its own church, but stressed that the support and involvement of the community is important because the church will be a home for all and especially a safe haven for the youth.
During dinner guests enjoyed dance performances by Lilia Dance Studio students and musical performances by soloist Sossy Mardirossian.
The official program concluded with the Prelate’s message. His Eminence congratulated the parish family on their sixth anniversary and commended the dedicated service of the Pastor, Board, Delegates, and affiliated bodies, wishing them continued successes for years to come. Six years ago faithful in North Hollywood came together to establish this parish community. The community must now band together once again, this time to build a church, so that our sacred rites and rituals can be performed in our own church.
The Prelate was joined by parish members for the ceremonial cutting of the cake, after which the festivities continued. Donations were made throughout the evening, which will be allocated to the church building fund.
