On Friday, August 19, 2016, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, paid a visit to Levon and Hasmig Tavlian Pre-School on the occasion of the start of the 2016-2017 academic year. The Prelate was joined by Rev. Fr. Boghos Baltayan. Board of Regents member Mr. Sarkis Ourfalian and members of St. Sarkis Church and community organizations participated in the visit.
The Prelate and guests were greeted at the school entrance by new Director Mrs. Garine Joukadarian, faculty members, teachers, and parents.

The ceremony began with the Lord’s Prayer sung by the students, after which the Prelate conducted the blessing of the home service and conveyed his blessings to the school family.

The new Director delivered remarks in which she introduced herself and wished for a productive school year.
The Prelate greeted Mrs. Joukadarian and colleagues and wished them all well. His Eminence highlighted the vital role and mission of Armenian Schools, and in light of the “Year of Service” proclamation, encouraged them to continue their dedicated service to nurture our youth with our Christian faith and national values.
The Prelate and guests then visited a number of classrooms and interacted with the young students. A reception followed.
