On the evening of Saturday, October 24, 2020, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, accompanied by clergy, gave an impromptu visit to a candlelight vigil in front of the Armenian Consulate in Los Angeles.
The Candlelight vigil has been taking place in front of the Armenian Consulate in Los Angeles, for the past two weeks, where people come and lift up their prayers and light candles in front of pictures of martyred servicemen. The Prelate presided over the vigil and lifted up his plea and prayer towards God.

Also, a requiem service was conducted for the fallen soldiers, followed by the singing of “Der Voghormia” and the Armenian National Anthem.
In his remarks, the prelate stated, “Our martyrs departed so that we may continue. They are greater than us because they sacrificed themselves for the lands of our forefathers. Respect to our people who continuously honor the immortal memory of our fallen who have departed to heaven.”
The people present during the vigil with a strengthened and a “We will win” spirit, vowed to stand with our fatherland and with our soldiers.
