In the past week, with heavy hearts we watched the devastation unfold in Houston as Hurricane Harvey engulfed the region, resulting in dozens of casualties, the destruction of over 100,000 homes, and billions of dollars in damage. As the flood waters recede and the full scope of the catastrophe comes into view, we must come together to support the hundreds of thousands of people who have lost everything in what is being called one of the worst natural disasters in US history.
By the directive of H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, on Sunday, September 3, 2017, “Der Voghormya” prayers will be offered for the victims of Hurricane Harvey. In addition, the Prelate appeals to our faithful to contribute to disaster relief efforts by donating to any of a number of charities.
The people of Houston need our urgent support. Please join us in prayer and open your hearts to help the people of Houston as they embark on the long road to recovery and rebuilding.
