On Thursday, December 3, 2015, the annual Christmas Luncheon and Boutique organized by the Prelacy Ladies Auxiliary was held at Anoush Banquet Hall in Glendale, under the auspices of H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, and hosted by Holy Cross Cathedral benefactor Mrs. Zabel Iknadossian. The Prelate was accompanied by Archpriest Fr. Nareg Pehlivanian.
The program began with welcoming remarks by Ladies Auxiliary member and MC Mrs. Maral Tarpinian, who then invited the Prelate for the blessing of tables, after which he delivered his remarks.
On the threshold of the holiday season the Prelate first and foremost gave thanks to God for the blessings of the past year, and in the Christmas spirit of peace and goodwill greeted the guests, among them sponsors, members of parishes’ Ladies Guilds and sister organizations, and friends of the Prelacy who had come together to celebrate the joy of the season. The Prelate commended the Ladies Auxiliary for their hard work in organizing various events throughout bringing together friends and supporters of the Prelacy, and thanked and commended Mrs. Iknadossian for graciously hosting the event. In closing, His Eminence wished a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all, praying for love, joy, and peace to resonate throughout the world, within our families, and within our individual hearts and souls.
On behalf of the Ladies Auxiliary, a plaque of appreciation was presented to Mrs. Iknadossian.
The luncheon continued in a festive atmosphere with a presentation of songs, recitations, and dance by Rose and Alex Pilibos School students, caroling, a visit from Santa Claus, raffle drawings, Christmas shopping, and music. Substantial donations were made on this joyous occasion.
