Prelacy “Lousavorich” Choir Participates in 9th Annual Orthodox Day of Prais

On Saturday, May 21, 2016, the 9th annual Orthodox Day of Praise was held at St. Peter and St. Paul Coptic Orthodox Church in Santa Monica under the auspices of H.G. Bishop Serapion. This event, held each year to unite the Orthodox congregation using the language of hymns and praises, brings together members of the Armenian, Coptic, Syriac, Antiochian, Romanian, Ethiopian, Greek, Indian, Russian, and Serbian Churches.

The day began with Divine Liturgy, after which participants were hosted to brunch and had the opportunity to socialize with one another and learn about the other churches. The program followed. Choirs from each of the churches presented hymns in their respective languages.

The Prelacy “Lousavorich” Choir, led by Rev. Fr. Ghevont Kirazian, once again participated and presented three hymns; “Lord have mercy,” “We give thanks to You,” and “Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem.”
