Each year on the eve of Thanksgiving, the Armenian Ecclesiastical Brotherhood hosts a dinner to collectively celebrate the holiday and give thanks to God for His blessings. This year’s celebration was held on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at St. Garabed Church “Karapetian” Hall in Hollywood. H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, attended and conveyed his message and well wishes. He was accompanied by Archpriest Fr. Vicken Vassilian, Archpriest Fr. Nareg Pehlivanian, Rev. Fr. Boghos Baltayan, and Rev. Fr. Ghevont Kirazian.
The evening began with the invocation by the clergy. Brotherhood Chairman Avo Kabakjouzian welcomed the Prelate and guests and conveyed his well wishes to all. Remarks were also conveyed by Brotherhood members.
The cultural program was comprised of psalms and hymns by children and young adults, who also recreated the Baptism of Christ. Attendees participated in the program with spiritual songs and prayers.
On behalf of the host parish, Fr. Vicken conveyed his well wishes to all.
The Prelate spoke about Thanksgiving and the importance of expressing our gratitude to God every day for His manifold blessings, and commended the members of the Brotherhood for organizing this and similar events celebrating our faith and heritage.
