On Tuesday, October 25, 2016, a reception hosted by the Consul General of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles and Mrs. Sergey Sarkisov was held at the Beverly Hilton in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia.
H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, attended and conveyed his blessings and congratulations. He was accompanied by Archpriest Fr. Razmig Khatchadourian. Consular Corp, dignitaries, elected officials, Catholicosate Central Executive and Prelacy Executive Council members, and community leaders and members were among the guests in attendance.
Television personality Araksya Karapetyan served as the MC. Consul General Sergey Sarkisov conveyed his congratulatory remarks. Congressman Adam Schiff, California State Assemblymember Katcho Achadjian, and L.A. City Councilmember Paul Krekorian conveyed their remarks and presented proclamations. The program also included music and dance.
