By the invitation of His Grace Bishop Serapion, head of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Los Angeles, on Sunday, October 18, 2015, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, attended a dinner banquet in honor of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, 118th Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, on the occasion of his first Archpastoral visit to the Diocese of Los Angeles. The banquet was hosted by Santa Verena Charity. The Prelate was accompanied by Rev. Fr. Karekin Bedourian.
During the event the Prelate conveyed the greetings of His Holiness Aram I and our Prelacy to Pope Tawadros. In his message, His Eminence exalted the friendship and fellowship between the Armenian and Coptic Churches and reaffirmed the solidarity of our Prelacy and community with our sister Oriental Orthodox Churches locally and with our Christian brethren in the Middle East facing persecution. The Prelate concluded by wishing good health and a long and fruitful pontificate to His Holiness and for the safety and peace of our Christian brothers and sisters in the Middle East.
