Prelate attends the opening gala for the new wing of Ararat assisted living facility

On Saturday, August 4, 2018, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, attended the opening gala for the new wing of Ararat assisted living facility.

After the opening prayer, the Prelate congratulated the “Ararat” home family on the newly opened wing and their service to the elderly. He commended the board, the administration and staff as “good Samaritans” who serve and take care of the elderly at “Ararat” home.

The Western Prelacy clergy continuously serve the spiritual needs of the residents and staff at “Ararat” home, especially during feast days. On the feast of the Assumption of Mary, Divine Liturgy will be celebrated and a grape blessing ceremony will take place on Wednesday August 15, 2018.

During the program, the welcoming speech was delivered by the Chair of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Michael Surmeian. The Chair of the Building Committee, Mr. Nazar Ashjian delivered his remarks. Following the remarks, a video presentation was presented to the guests. Messages were also delivered by the Administrator of the assisted living facility, Mrs. Rita Noravian and the Chief Operating Officer Mr. Derik Ghookasian.

Mr. David Mgrublian served as the Master of Ceremonies.
