The Prelate began his sermon by expounding on the day’s reading from the Gospel of John on a discussion between our Lord Jesus Christ and a Pharisee named Nicodemus, which underscores the importance of spiritual renewal and rebirth in our life of faith. His Eminence then reflected on the moving ceremony of the blessing of Muron conducted by His Holiness a few weeks prior, and focused his attention on the symbolism of Holy Muron, which he stated links us to the source of our centuries-old faith and traditions and represents the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The Prelate concluded by wishing for the recipients of the blessed water to undergo spiritual renewal. The ceremony of the blessing of water followed.
