On Thursday, September 19, 2019, St. Mary’s Assyrian Church in Tarzana hosted a prayer service and banquet on the occasion of the visit of His Holiness Mar Gewargis III Sliwa, Catholicos-Patriarch of the Assyrian Church of the East.
Prior to the event, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, paid a courtesy visit to His Holiness, who was joined by Fr. George Bet-Rasho, parish priest of St. Mary’s Church. His Eminence was accompanied by Archpriest Fr. Razmig Khatchadourian. The visit afforded the opportunity to converse on matters of mutual concern and the collaborative relationship between the two Churches.
His Eminence was represented at the service and banquet by Rev. Fr. Ghevont Kirazian.
