Prelate Presides over Good Friday Commemoration at Holy Cross Cathedral

&

On the evening of April 18, 2014, Good Friday services were held within Prelacy Churches with the participation of large numbers of faithful.  Parishioners congregated at their local parishes, flowers in hand, to collectively commemorate the burial of our Lord Jesus Christ by placing flowers on His tomb.

H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, presided over Good Friday service at Holy Cross Cathedral in Montebello and delivered his message to the faithful on the solemn occasion.  The Prelate spoke on the full extent of our Savior’s love for mankind and His absolute obedience to the will of the Father, as reflected in His ultimate sacrifice, and stated that those who tried to put an end to Christ’s ministry failed, and instead the tomb became a symbol of hope, triumph, resurrection, and life.
