Fr. Ghevont Kirazian, parish pastor.

Prior to his sermon, the Prelate greeted the parish family, the pastor, delegates, Board of Trustees and Ladies Guild members, Sunday School teachers and students, and faithful, and conveyed his blessings to all and especially to the young Sunday School students participating in the service. His Eminence then relayed the story of Pentecost, how the disciples were gathered in the Upper Room when suddenly the Holy Spirit came in like a rushing mighty wing and filled them with wisdom and grace. Peter, who had previously denied Christ three times, was transformed and strengthened by the Holy Spirit, became of one of the greatest witnesses for our Lord, and exhorted multitudes to repent and be baptized into the new faith. Noting the weakening of moral fiber in society, the Prelate prayed for the transformative Holy Spirit to cleanse and strengthen us so that we can overcome our weaknesses and live and serve in the way God intends and taught, according to His commandments.

On behalf of the parish family, Fr. Ghevont conveyed well wishes to the Prelate for many more healthy and fruitful years to come, and asked the faithful to remember Artsakh and our brethren in the Middle East in their prayers.

The service concluded with requiem prayers.
