Following the horrific terror attack in Nice, France on July 14, 2016 which claimed the lives of 84 innocent men, women, and children and injured over two hundred, H.H. Catholicos Aram I sent a letter of condolence and solidarity to French President Francois Hollande strictly condemning the attack. In his letter, His Holiness stated “terror knows no religion, nationality, or borders; it affects all humanity. Thus, people of all faiths and nations are called to collectively root out such evil from society.”
On Friday, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, sent a letter of condolence to the Consul General of France in Los Angeles Christophe Lemoine, in which he conveyed the profound sympathies of the Western Prelacy family and community for the scores of lives lost and the hundreds of injured. “The past few years have been challenging ones for all as we witness the rise of terrorism and increased attacks. Indeed it has been especially difficult for your nation as you now cope with this third such attack. We express our solidarity to the people of France now and always, and we pray for goodness and justice to prevail through the united efforts of all peace-loving nations,” stated the Prelate.
