Prelate Urges Support for the Armenia Fund 20th International Telethon

On Thanksgiving Day, the Armenia Fund 20th International Telethon will once again rally the Armenian people around the strengthening and prosperity of Artsakh. Given that the lion’s share of Artsakh’s economy is based on agriculture, this year’s Telethon, with the theme “Fruitful Artsakh,” will raise funds to bring irrigation water to Artsakh farmers through the digging of deep water wells and installation of drip-irrigation systems.

H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, calls for widespread and generous support of the Telethon, stating, “Artsakh is strengthened with the economic and social betterment of its people, by the building of a self-reliant economy. In the past twenty years, more than $350 million in aid has reached Armenia and Artsakh through Armenian Fund, with the realization of over 1,000 projects. Hence why this Telethon and similar initiatives are so vitally important.

The Prelate will deliver his appeal on Thanksgiving Day. As in previous years, this year too, the Western Prelacy family of churches, schools, organizations, and faithful will contribute their part to this vital cause.

The Telethon will air from Los Angeles from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. PST. It will be broadcast nationally and internationally. Visit www.armeniafund.org for the TV broadcast guide or to watch the live webcast.
