On Wednesday, November 7, 2018, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, paid a visit to Rose and Alex Pilibos School where he was greeted by Head of School, Dr. Alina Dorian, Interim Principal, Mrs. Maral Tavitian, teachers, and students. His Eminence was joined by St. Garabed Church Pastor, Archpriest Fr. Vicken Vassiian. School Board members Mr. Vahe Tashjian, Mr. Mourad Shahinian, and Mrs. Talin Ghazarian joined in the visit.
The visit was the embodiment of the spirit of Armenian Culture Month, which though officially concluded a few days prior, remains alive in the hearts of the students throughout the year.
The Prelate first visited Mary Postoian Pre-School where the young students greeted him with the traditional salt and bread and Armenian flags, and recited poetry.
Next, the Prelate and guests visited elementary and junior high classrooms, where students delivered remarks and presented recitations and instrumental pieces.
Following the classroom visits, seniors and freshmen gathered at St. Garabed Church where freshmen sang a hymn and “Cilicia.

” His Eminence thanked the teachers and students for the uplifting atmosphere they created and for their diligence, stressing the importance of celebrating and preserving our culture and heritage
Afterward, the Prelate had a discussion with the senior class during which he answered their questions on religious and ethical matters, advising them to always choose that which is good and beneficial.
The students presented a memento to the Prelate, who in turn gifted books and religious mementos.
