On Tuesday, July 8, 2014, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, visited St. Sarkis Church of Pasadena where he conveyed his blessings and message to the young participants of the third annual Vacation Bible School organized by the Parish Pastor and Board of Trustees.
Over four one-week sessions beginning on June 16, over 100 students ages 3 to 13 attended the Bible School. The curriculum consisted of Bible stories, Psalm readings, prayers, singing, games, and various educational and social activities.
Upon his arrival at the Church, the Prelate was greeted by Rev. Fr. Boghos Baltayan, Parish Pastor, Ladies Guild members, Bible School Director Mrs. Aida Mardirossian and assistants. Students presented a program for His Eminence comprised of hymns and prayers. Following welcoming remarks by the Parish Pastor and Bible School Director, the Prelate had a warm interaction with the youth.

Reflected on this year’s theme of “Jesus loves you”, His Eminence spoke to the participants about the boundless love and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, emphasized the importance and power of prayer, and quizzed them on what they had learned. A question and answer session followed during which the students had the opportunity to direct their questions to the Prelate. In conclusion, the Prelate conveyed his commendation to the organizers, blessed the students and presented them with prayer cards.
