On Tuesday, September 13, 2022, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, welcomed the newly elected Regional Board of the ARS Western Region, headed by Mrs. Vicky Marashlian. During the course of the meeting, Bishop Donoyan expounded on the activities of the ARS, focusing especially on the multi-level assistance provided by the Western Region, which is directed to the needy settlements of Armenia-Artsakh, Javakhk, and the Diaspora.
Further, the Prelate specifically mentioned the century-long relationship between the Armenian Church and the ARS, observing that the ARS provides support to both the homeland and Diaspora. On this occasion, he congratulated the visiting ARS Regional Executive members, expressing hope that the mutual support between the Western Prelacy and the ARS will continue for a long time.
The members of the ARS Regional Executives also expressed the challenges they face and reflected on the unfavorable atmosphere in the post-pandemic life, and requested the guidance of the Bishop to overcome these difficulties.
