Prelate Welcomes Armenian Ecclesiastical Brotherhood New Spiritual Council

On Thursday, September 5, 2013, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, welcomed the visit of the newly elected spiritual council of the Armenian Ecclesiastical Brotherhood.  The meeting was held at the Prelacy “Sulahian” reception hall.  Very Rev. Fr. Boghos Tinkjian, a member of the Catholicosate Brotherhood who arrived in Los Angeles last week, participated in the meeting.

The new council members had come to the Prelacy to receive the Prelate’s blessings as they begin their new endeavors, and to relay information on their upcoming activities, among them their annual Thanksgiving reception which will be held on November 27.  On this occasion the council members formally requested the auspices of the Prelate for the Thanksgiving reception, to which the Prelate responded favorably.

The Prelate wished the new council members success in their mission, urging them to give special attention to the Christian education and spiritual development of our youth to ensure they are not swayed by outside influences and do not stray from our religious and national values.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Prelate presented the guests with copies of Garo Bedrosian’s newly republished Armenian edition of Feasts of the Armenian Church and National Traditions.
