Prelate Welcomes Armenian Evangelical Ministers


On Tuesday, June 25, 2013, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, welcomed the visit of Armenian Evangelical Ministers, led by Minister of the Armenian Evangelical Union of North America Rev. Joe Matossian.  Rev. Matossian was accompanied by a delegation of Armenian Evangelical Ministers from Armenia, who are currently in Los Angeles.  They were; Rev. Mkrtich Melkonyan, Sargis Ochinyan, Hrand Badalyan, Vardan Apinyan, Kevork Kasparian, and Hovannes Hovsepyan.  Very Rev. Fr. Muron Aznikian joined the Prelate in the meeting, which took place at the “Sulahian” reception room.

Badvelis1The guests presented an overview of the spiritual and educational endeavors of the Armenian Evangelical community in Armenia.  The Prelate first welcomed the guests to Los Angeles, commended their service and God-pleasing mission, and spoke of the Prelacy’s religious, educational, and national mission.  They also discussed concerns facing the Armenian nation, Diaspora assistance to Armenia, and the situation of the Syrian-Armenian community.

Upon their departure the Prelate presented the guests with copies of Garo Bedrosian’s “Journey to the Armenian Heritage” and prayer books.
