Prelate Welcomes Homenetmen “Ararat” Chapter Board

On Tuesday, August 27, 2013, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, welcomed the visit of Homenetmen Glendale “Ararat” Chapter Board members, headed by Chairman Mr. Tomik Abrahamian.  Homenetmen Central Executive member Mr. Vicken Tavitian joined in the visit, which was held at the “Sulahian” reception room.

The main purpose of the visit was for the delegation to officially invite the Prelate to the Chapter’s 35th anniversary celebration on October 19, during which they will honor one of their members and community activist Ms. Jasik Jarahian, who was also present.

The members also gave an overview of the Chapter’s endeavors in the past three decades.  They stated that the Chapter has grown steadily over that period of time, and currently has two facilities where thousands of youth participate in athletic and cultural activities, including classes on Armenian heritage.   To fulfill these vast endeavors, the Chapter depends on volunteers, who are always ready to lend a helping hand.

The Prelate commended the dedication of the members to carrying out the mission of the “Ararat” Chapter, and wished them continued successes in their 35th anniversary celebration and beyond.  In appreciation for their service, the Prelate presented the Board members with mementos at their departure.
