On Thursday, November 14, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, welcomed a delegation from the Homenetmen Central Executive Committee, composed of members Mr. Mihran Chimchirian (Lebanon), Mr. Vigen Davidian, and Mr. Hagop Tufenkjian.
The Prelate welcomed the guests, and especially Mr. Chimchirian whom he has known for many years from Lebanon. His Eminence praised the service of Homenetmen in the instruction and development of Armenian youth. The Prelate and guests also discussed challenges faced by Armenian communities and organizations, especially in the Diaspora where there are many outside influences, and how the Church, as a national institution and bastion, is at the forefront of preserving our heritage and working to overcome challenges.
The visit concluded with the exchange of gifts. Mr. Chimchirian presented His Eminence with Homenetmen Central Executive emblem memento in recognition of the Prelate’s support of Homenetmen, and the Prelate presented the guests with a memento and copies of Garo Bedrosian’s Journey to the Armenian Heritage.
